Grace & Cameron

Cameron and I meet in high school in 2014. We shared the same science class. I was a ‘treat em mean keep em keen’ kinda girl, yet Cameron was a little softie. I may have been a bit too mean to disguise how I felt towards Cameron because if it wasn’t for a mutual friend of ours telling us separately that both of us liked each other and we should cut the silly stuff and actually talk then maybe something could come of it.
Well… fast forward too many awesome years shared together in high school, too graduating as one of the only solid couples to have stayed together throughout the years of high school.
After school, we began our apprenticeships (me hairdressing & Cam building) with a mix of traveling in between, moving in together, discussing our future. To then starting our building company and feature wall business. We quickly realised we were at the stage we wanted to be to get married and start that next chapter in our lives.
After about almost 2 years of talking on and off about it Cameron taking me in to try on rings (telling me too not get my hopes up and let it be a surprise) we were on holiday in Rarotonga with both our families too see the new year of 2023 in. When Cameron popped the question.
With quickly knowing we wanted to have a short turn around with engagement and marriage we got planning straight away.
After almost a year of planning we had our day all ready and set to go for the 4th of February 2024.
We selected our wonderful venue: The Hunting Lodge, Waimauku.
With a lot of digging and research we locked in all our wonderful vendors.
Bridesmaids dresses: BLAK Bridesmaids
Make up artist: Paige – Blende Beauty Boutique
Men’s suits: Politix
All styling of venue: done by ourselves
Now lastly my beautiful wedding dress. I went to my first bridal shop walked out so hopeless feeling like I was going to have to settle for something that didn’t feel like “the one”. I then through word and mouth heard about the wonderful girls at Bridal Brilliance.
I immediately felt so excited walking into the shop and seeing what a wonderful selection there was of dresses already from the first shop I had been too. Belinda helped me find about 9 different dresses to begin trying on.
From that 9 we went down to 2 then to saying “YES TOO THE DRESS”. I felt to excited and had the ‘feeling’ everyone talks about!!
Dress – Penny by Kellylin Couture from Bridal Brilliance
I had my dress altered by: Alter Me
We had the absolute bestest day and we truly are to grateful for all the wonderful people that made it happen. I was so totally in love with my dress and so was hubby!
Thank you so much from Mr & Mrs Ellin xx
