James and I met in 2018 on the dating app Bumble. We went on a few dates and James asked me to go to the navy ball with him. I agreed blissfully unaware that this night would end in us being crowned ball king and queen and having to wear a sash and crown and get up and do a dance together in front of everyone. Needless to say this was the start of something beautiful and we have been inseparable ever since. This was the night we officially started dating.
James proposed at the Michael Savage memorial gardens in Mission Bay a place we had been on one of our first few dates. He proposed on the date we first met each other four years later.
We had envisioned a garden/winery vibe wedding and as soon as we saw Kumeu Valley Estate and met Annette we knew we had to get married there. The grounds were absolutely beautiful and Annette was a dream to work with. We straight away felt her expertise and knew we were in the best hands, nothing was a bother. We got married on the 8.12.23 the same date as the navy ball five years later.
When I started looking for my wedding dress I went to a few shops but did not come out confident that I had found a dress I could see myself getting married in. Upon googling I found Bridal Brilliance and decided to give it a go and book an appointment. Well this turned out to be the best decision as from the moment I walked through the door Kelly was super friendly and helpful. She understood the vision I had for my dress whilst also throwing in some dress styles I hadn’t considered. She was so patient with me allowing me to try on as many dresses as I liked and retry them all several times until I decided on the one. Kelly was also amazing at pairing the perfect veil to compliment my dress. The process from start to finish with Bridal Brilliance was seamless and easy.
