Nadia & Jacob

Jacob & Nadia: Jacob and I first crossed paths through mutual friends and got to know each other while joining a social football team. However, it was at a six60 concert that our connection truly started to flourish. From that day forward, we found ourselves engrossed in daily conversations, often exceeding the word limit on messenger, as we shared entire paragraphs with each other. Our first date took place at Piha, and it went well enough for Jacob to convince me to go on a few more dates. Unfortunately, our budding romance was interrupted by the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, which transformed our dates into a series of long phone calls. Once the lockdown restrictions were lifted, Jacob surprised me with a romantic date where he presented me with flowers and chocolate, taking the opportunity to ask me to be his girlfriend. It was a moment filled with love and excitement, and since that day, we have thanked God for bringing us together. Fast forward 2 ½ years later and Jacob took me on my favorite summer walk at Mercer Bay Loop where he got down on one knee and proposed. Bridal Brilliance was the first and only store that I visited when looking for my perfect wedding dress. From the moment I walked in, I was captivated by the store’s elegant ambiance and the wide variety of stunning gowns on display. I thought that it would be a hard process as I had people tell me it was difficult to choose the perfect dress, however, I got my bridesmaids to pick any dress they thought would suit me. I fell in love with the first dress that I tried on and could not believe that I had found a timeless, elegant and affordable dress (Stella York 7535). The team at bridal brilliance were kind, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable about the dresses they offered and helped me find the perfect veil to match my dress. They were also very accommodating as I needed my dress in a fairly short time frame, which they were able to provide with no issues. On my wedding day, I felt absolutely radiant in my Bridal Brilliance gown. The timeless design, combined with its exquisite craftsmanship, made me feel like a true princess. The dress fit like it was made just for me and effortlessly complemented the overall theme and atmosphere of the wedding. I received countless compliments from both guests and loved ones, all of whom were in awe of the sheer elegance of the dress. Bridal Brilliance made my dress shopping experience not just enjoyable, but also stress-free and filled with joy. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience, and am incredibly grateful to the team at Bridal Brilliance for making my wedding day truly memorable with the perfect gown for me. On the 29th of April 2023 Jacob & I got married at the incredible Rydges Formosa Golf Resort. It was a truly magical day with the rain clearing out long enough for us to have a beautiful ceremony on the lush golf course with the stunning ocean and Rangitoto Island surrounding us. The day went by in a flash and we had the best time dancing the night away with our loved ones. We cherish the bond we share and eagerly anticipate the adventures that God has in store for us as we start our journey of marriage together.
