Shantal & John
Naranda & Scott
A long-distance university romance to a Matakana wedding day, in a Chanel gown by Jessica Couture.
Zara & Beau
Beau and I met during my gap year working in his family's shearing sheds, and a friendship slowly bloomed into romance. Eleven years and two kids later, we married on a hilltop at Hawkhills Farm in Kaikoura. After two dress disasters with another company, I flew to Bridal Brilliance and found the one.
Emma & Dylan
Emma met Dylan in a London flat share, then followed his offhand invitation all the way to New Zealand, and into a relationship. After Covid derailed their 2020 plans, they finally eloped to a Sydney cliff top, planned in just 10 days, in a Bridal Brilliance gown that fit like a glove.
Grace & Cameron
A high school sweethearts story — Grace and Cameron met in science class in 2014, got engaged in Rarotonga and married at The Hunting Lodge on 4 February 2024. Grace found her dress — the Penny gown by Kellylin Couture — at Bridal Brilliance, and says she had that feeling everyone talks about.
Tracey & James
Tracey & James first met on Bumble in 2018, but it was being crowned King and Queen at the Navy Ball that sealed the deal. Five years later, almost to the day, they said I do at the stunning Kumeu Valley Estate. Tracey found her dream dress at Bridal Brilliance, where stylist Kelly helped her find the perfect gown and veil. Keep reading for the full story and vendor list.
Courtney & Joel
When life throws the unexpected your way, sometimes the most perfect wedding is the one you plan in 5 weeks. After a health scare forced them to rethink everything, this couple eloped at Hamilton Gardens in the Kelly Lin Elizabeth gown from Bridal Brilliance. Read their story.
Sage & Tristan
Nadia & Jacob
Jacob and I first crossed paths through mutual friends and got to know each other while joining a social football team. However, it was at a Six60 concert that our connection truly started to flourish. From that day forward, we found ourselves engrossed in daily conversations, often exceeding the word limit on messenger, as we shared entire paragraphs with each other.
Veronica & Giles
Giles and I met in 2011 while I was partway through my nursing degree in the Waikato - being in a female dominant area of study and the demands of student life made it difficult to meet people - enter "find-someone" (for those who don’t know, this is like pre-historic tinder!) - we like to joke that we met on Trade Me. We had our first date at a local bar, and sat there yarning until it closed and we were the last ones there. We have been together ever since, life has been busy - now both completed our degrees, and have relocated to the beautiful Hawkes Bay, bought our first home, and have two gorgeous dogs Mishka and Muriel.
